Songwriter Kelcy Mae, frontwoman for New Orleans Americana outfit Ever More Nest, is proud to host the 4th Biennial Merry Songwriter Revue, which features holiday originals and favorite covers from local songwriters and bands. In addition to Ever More Nest, this year's lineup includes Micah McKee, Gal Holiday, Loose Cattle, Joy Clark, Prey for Neighbors, Jamie Lynn Vessels, Tiny Dinosaur, Natalie Mae, and A Strange Bird.
The Merry Songwriter Revue began in 2015 with the release of Kelcy Mae's heartwarming 2015 song and video, Christmas with You (Merry Me), celebrating the Supreme Court ruling that overturned the Defense of Marriage Act. Every two years, Kelcy gathers local artists for a night to celebrate holiday music by writing a new holiday-inspired song and performing all manner of favorite Christmas carols, traditional songs, hymns, and all manner of reverent and irreverent holiday pop/rock songs.
Food is available as well as a special new holiday cocktail, Ever More Heaven, featuring whiskey, all-spice, orange, and clove.
